What is a Nom de Plume?

A pen name (nom de plume, or literary double) is a pseudonym (or, in some cases, a variant form of a real name) adopted by an author and printed on the title page or by-line of his or her works in place of their "real" name. Obviously, A. E. is a variant of my name but, it is in fact, a Nom de Plume.

As an avid reader, I have devoured tons of books from many different genres. I know that there are many fans that buy any and all books from a favorite author (I hope to have that problem one day). Nonetheless, I have branched out into other genres that would not be appropriate for younger readers. Therefore, I have published several stories under the Nom de Plume of E. Wolfsbane.
